Kathlyn Crawford has a knack for finding the sweet spot between a client’s wants and needs. It’s a skill she may have developed as a six-year-old, when she styled one of her first “clients” on the back porch of her parents’ Metropolitan Washington, D.C. home. Kathlyn’s mother has photographic proof of this moment, which led to future bookings in the family’s kitchen. After finishing high school, Kathlyn moved to Atlanta and attended the Paul Mitchell School, before interning as a stylist for “The Hunger Games.” For nearly a decade after that, it’s little wonder that she earned a reputation for creating show-stopping cuts and color for clients at some of Atlanta’s top salons. Now at Salon Vagabond, Kathlyn works closely and confidently with her clients to create bespoke styles that not only reflect their lifestyle, but push creative boundaries. She is intuitive, innovative and audacious, and we look forward to seeing what she produces behind the chair and in front of D.J. VanCronkhite’s camera.
